The Chai Tikvah Foundation staff members provides 24 hour supportive housing in a Jewish environment for adults with
mental health problems. Staff members assist resident clients to build self esteem, manage stress, improve social interaction
and improve practical skills such as cooking, money management, household cleaning, decision-making, goal setting, and the
use of medication.
Members plan and participate in house meetings and outings and attend individual programs outside the house. The Jery
Turk Fellowship Home observes kosher food laws and Jewish festivals. The house rooms are shared.
Resident attendance at house meetings is required. Optional house activities include day trips and social club
outings.
Residents will be required to leave if they use illegal drugs or are violent.
Chai Tikvah also provides weekly counselling to individuals in their apartments.
